Bird flu 2: The Sequel

A mate of mine text this morning about scientists resuming research on making bird flu MORE contagious in mammals

Is it just me, or is that a really bad idea? Why would they possibly need to do this? I'm guessing to 'thin out the herd'

There are bad times afoot.

Is it just a rumour/hearsay though?

Theyve apparently found animal anti inflametories (cant spell it sorry) in the horse burgers and Burger King have stopped selling certain burgers in case they have bits of horse in.(including their 100% aberdeen angus burgers) as their burgers are from the same supplier as tescos etc.

I do agree with them creating new vaccines for potential threats but against them trying to find a new epidemic just to profit from like some drug companies alledgedly do.

Nope. I Google anything anyone tells me first. Read it in the New York times that scientists want to do this. Even though they were stopped last time they were messing about it.

Surely they can find a better silent weapon than bird flu?

But since it's already been around they can say "it's mutated" and blame that. I'm gonna start digging a bunker out and be ready

Yeah it is kinda a dumb idea to give a deadly virus a head start but as a paranoid friend of mine said when he saw this " 7 billion people in the world and riseing and not enuf resources to sustain them all maybe they know exactly what they are doing " bit paranoid but his psychiatrist thinks it will go away pmsl scary thought though

P.s sory for spelling

Bird flu is nothing compared to a new virus emerging in rural France where people have contracted flu-like symptoms after drinking bottled water! They're calling it Evian-Flu!

(Which, by the way, is Naive backwards)

carrbrook stalybridge

would be more afraid of ebola to be honest if that ever gets loose in the west we are fooked

if one person was to walk through one of the major airport hubs in the world (Heatherrow Frankfurt JFK) whilst suffering from this disease 80% of the world population would be dead within a month

this thing wipes out whole villages in africa and has no known cure
