So I have a lot of scarring on my back and shoulders, from a traumatic skin condition I experienced several years ago. For a long time I was really self conscious about it. You'll see in my pics none really show my back as I fear it would put people off. That said I do, as my username says, love getting naked and I think that comes from having worked hard to feel more body positive in recent years. Even so I still feel self conscious in say, a club and am probably hoping the focus is on the bottom half rather than top.
However I'm now wondering if there are women out there who actually would be attracted to something like this. I don't mean one big manly looking scar but a whole back and shoulders area covered in divots and dimples.
My experience has been that women generally don't care and see past it, but if there are any for whom it would actually be a turn on then I'd love to hear from you!
I feel its about time I tried to turn a negative into a positive and if there's a market for something different like this it might help me get more action?!

I think the majority of the time, women are attracted to confidence. It's not about seeing past things you call 'flaws', all our bodies are real and have lived through experiences. If you're with the right person, it won't be an issue in any shape or form. |

Definitely, thays been my experience. But it would be fun if someone actually found it a turn on or something, you know like some people find tattoos or something else a turn on. |

It doesn't matter to me and I'm attracted if the man is the right person. I'd like everybody to feel comfortable as themselves and it's a pity that we have a culture a little obsessed with looks.
For a beginner with less confidence, gloryholes may be a good way to get some sexual pleasure, without pressure from being seen naked
It's lovely that you're out there OP and have worked through stuff ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I have been called a teratophile before, though I think the term is a little harsh. I am drawn aesthetically to scars and birthmarks and things that are outside of the norm though.
But I'm not a particularly aesthetic creature. The people I'm really interested in it's entirely down to the personality and chemistry. |

Well, this forum sure can be educational! Had to google what a teratophile is - fascinating!
I hopefully don't fall into the monster category (except in the genitalia area perhaps ) but like your description about what you find attractive! |
