All depends how it's being eaten. Big into creamy Gouda slices, melted on burgers at the moment.
Straight chunks, can't beat a good cheddar or smoked cheese. Edam is lovely bite. Halloumi fries. A nice blue cheese as a final topping on a nice pizza. And so much more, is there a bad cheese? |

Lincolnshire poacher is an excellent hard cheese I use instead of parmesan. You can't go wrong with a mature cheddar for your farmhouse lunch. I'm also a big fan of Brie, but not the Larson variety as it has all the charisma of a pickled walnut. |

"I adore cheese!
I don't have a favourite, because there are too many!
Not a fan of smoked cheeses.
What else do you put on your cheese board?
Grapes? Pears? Figs? Celery?"

Truffle honey works really beautifully with some cheese as well xx |

I bought two very small (tiny in fact) blocks of cheese from a farm shop today = £10 and they was both rock hard and dry. When I looked on the sell by date they have 1 week left.
Disappointment at the highest level.

I think I have incredibly cheap taste when it comes to certain foods. Yes I appreciate the expensive, vintage cheeses but just love mild cheddar on a buttered water biscuit. Sometimes with mustard or peanut butter ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |
