Umnn. Smartphone is really just a marketing term for a mobile multi functional personal computing communication device. I'd wager the phone part of the smartphone is probably the least used function. |

Put it this way, it’s better than me at, English, maths, knowing a where I am, remembering phone numbers, knowing what time it is, what time the bakery closes, what day it is, the weather, where my car is, etc etc
So yeah pretty smart.

Our phones are our life now…I’d be completely lost without it.
Phone numbers, photos of loved ones…filthy photos too.
Connecting us with friends/family without having to speak. Connecting us with filthy friends too.
News and sport pages at the touch of a button.
Directions - couldn’t imagine using a map now.
We are lazier for sure but also more informative too.

I can easily put it down and all those features and still go back to the old skool skill set and plod away. Chat, talk maps, navigate etc.
The phone/smartphone is Redundant still without us.
But it has become our new way of life, like a Drug it will be hard to shake off daily! |

Did you reply to this using your phone?
I’m glad I have access to everything in one place - it’s not a terrible thing for me.
I go off for walks and get into nature now and again to get away from everyday life…but I’m grateful I have my phone as a just in case I need it.

Yes,minimal use at best.
I hear you loud and clear, and rightly so. Its still a tool. But has taken over, coz all is available so easily .
Yes we all need a De-tox. Go into to nature and further afield.
Research is showing the mind is still activated and wired into our devices, waiting for that ping and message to come through ,just incase me miss anything. In that arousal it is affecting sleep and concentration on all levels daily.
Stress and deppresion levels are higher than anytime ever before.
