Just a quick question, I have an old ideal boiler, must be around 25 years old now, the pilot light has gone out, any advice on how to get her fired up again?

Google says your jet is blocked and you need an engineer to clean it. Whatever that means.

All over

Sorry it's not helpful comment but it's done well to last for 25 years. Unfortunately if its not an easy fix, there are probably no parts easily available now. I hope you get sorted though.

You don’t refer to her as an old boiler to begin with. She’s liable to cut your balls off in your sleep.

bradford

if you have a pilot light you have a thermocouple this allows the gas to keep the pilot light lit.

easy cheap fix but you cant officially do it.

anyone comes they will fob you off with buy a new boiler.

gas costs vs new boiler x3 new boiler to the price of gas on the old repairable boiler.

Have you tried to re-light it?
