Anyone suffering? Want to get some sympathy?
I have been sneezing all day, now i've lost my senses of smell and taste, my eyes are permanently red and watering, and my glands are up.. it's wonderful!! |

I've been on death row with it this week, absolutely terrible eyes are streaming as I write this post , nose completely blocked , anyone else just feel like they should invent a nose hoover to suck it all out |

Urgh it's horrible isn't it? I've never had it before, but it must be hayfever, as i have not changed anything for it to be an allergy.. my eyes are so blurry and sore  |

Several tips for all the hayfever sufferers
1 splodge of vaseline around the nostrils to trap pollen particles
2 keep bedroom windows closed during the day and early evening to avoid pollen landing in sheets and bedding
3 wear wrap around sunglasses to stop pollen getting into eyes
4 talk to your local pharmacist for medication such as antihistamines, steroid nasal sprays and eye droos |

I've tried every antihistamines going , including the nasal sprays and nothing seem to work I've had it every year I can remember , I'm actually considering hibernating in May and June , |

There are newer ones available otc which previously used to be prescription only... fexofenadine tablets and mometasone nasal spray |

I was actually going to ring the doctors in the morning to see if they can prescribe me anything stronger , there's a injection you can take aswell I think it's around £80 but obviously I'd rather not have to do that |

Suffered from chronic hay fever all my life, have had all sorts of things from the doc even a course of injections nothing seemed to help much but then you don't know if you would be worse without it, then 3 years ago I tried pirinase nasal spray and it seems to make a massive improvement. I have not managed to find it in the cheaper drug shops this year so am using beconase and that seems to be working as well. |

I can usually catch it before it takes hold. Which I have managed with regards to sniffling and sore eyes etc. My throat hasn't got away with it though, it's sore, itchy and just meh

Best tablets you can take, ( A.VOGEL. = Pollinosan hayfever tablets ) from Hollad & Barrat.

Our son picked up a Fexofenadine nasal spray, it great when I'm have a sneezing and eye watering fit. Not sure if it's available in the UK without a prescription though |

I'm not taking antihistamines (don't need them), not mitigating against seasonal allergies in any way, not avoiding being outdoors at all.
The only thing that would make me different from most people is that I've never had Covid. (Well, there are other things that make me... different. But not conceivably relevant) |

I've never had covid either or not to my knowledge, living in the west country full of fields dosent help with my hayfever either lol |

Fair. Hard to say. I'm in a rural area at the moment on holiday with nary a sniffle, and I regularly use the nature walks near me at home. |

When my allergies are really giving me strife, a Neti pot helps a lot, although very temporarily. It's deeply unpleasant but worth it if the allergies really suck. (I have hayfever and other allergies, same stuff applies) |

Used to get it severely as a kid, beautiful sunny day I’d be stuck indoors sneezing, wheezing, eyes swollen & watering.
Thankfully it’s eased off as I’ve gotten older, does seem like lots of people suffer with it now, back then I seemed to be the only one in the whole school with it but now it’s more unusual to find someone that isn’t affected |

I have suffered from the age of five. Plus as a child young adult also bad asthma. From speaking with others . I am wondering if since lockdowns more people are suffering. This due to not going out as normal or for less time. I take zirtek. I only take when needed or for couple days. Have been taking since teenager. Started as one of people on the first clinical trials. My doctors practice changed my prescription about fifteen years ago to another tablet.
This tablet I took for couple days, due to bad hay fever. I ended up in hospital. Treated for suspected heart attack. Was told should have read leaflet with tablets. Said could cause muscle type spasms . Which it did across chest area. Causing me to blackout.
Doctor when saw said would change tablets as yes allergic reaction. I asked if new ones could do same. His reply was possibly . Asked for zirtek and told to expensive. I have since purchased my own. Went about thirty years taking zirtek without side effect and after allergic reaction now at nearly twenty years without a problem. |

I've had zero hayfever or other nasal allergies for three years now, and I used to be absolutely full of them. I was on a prescription nasal spray for twenty five years, but I've never even opened the last one that I picked up from the pharmacy, probably past it's sell by date now. All I can assume is that masks do work pretty well, I don't even wear them full time, must be just enough to have let me become desensitised. I feel so much healthier now. |

Tree pollen hit me hard earlier in the year.
However I found a tablet last year that used to be prescription only called Allevia. Both this, and last year it's really helped. Just the odd sniffle and sneeze at the moment which I'll take

I was taking antihistamines for hay-fever, then had antibiotics for a bacterial throat infection, got a snotty nose and cough, glands came up and felt very unwell, then tested positive for Covid.
