For us, that doesn't describe an Alpha, but does describe the idiots with a bad attitude passing themselves off as alpha.
Unfortunately, many that claim to be alpha, tend to be the ones you describe, so in essence we agree.  |

Now if someone who had what would be considered "alpha" traits approached us in a genuinely respectful way then our opinion would probably change. But sadly not the case....yet  |

To actually answer the question, the concept of alpha and beta males is toxic masculinity in action.
Its more of a warning to me if anything. If i hear someone reference themself as an alpha, I'll actively ignore them. A sign of over-inflated ego and arrogance in my personal opinion.
Similar to people who identify as an arsehole or prick etc and are happy about it. Maybe a bit of personal growth and reflection is needed!

To me personally those on here who call themselves alpha males in my experience think they are above most other people,men in particular.They are sneery and arrogant and think they are always right and believe that women on here should be falling over themselves to meet them. And when women don't then they are usually abusive to them.
They are the ones who message couples (and I have seen this on my couples account) where they inform the couple how they will fuck the woman and the man of the couple if he is lucky can watch such a stud in action. And yet again when told not a chance or ignored gets abusive.
So ye on here and probably in life outside of here as well anyone calling themselves an alpha man I have found to be just arrogant and rude.
Men don't have to look down on others,or act arrogant or nasty to be decent men. And I would take a decent man over a self proclaimed alpha any day. |

It's like a lot of things. If you have to tell people then you probably aren't.
There are men who are natural leaders and inspire confidence around them through their own competence. The kind of people that other people want to follow and be around.
Then you have the self identified 'Alpha' who is someone who likes the idea of being in charge but doesn't understand the qualities of the genuine leadership material guy. They tend to just be a caricature of masculinity who watch too many YouTube self affirmation montages about being a lion or lone wolf. |

An alpha has a strength of character with good control of themselves. Alpha has compassion for those around them while alpha supports them to achieve whatever they want. All the while, alpha is protecrive towards them and would lead them away from those who would pull them down. To be an alpha, others must follow willingly along alpha's path, to the destination agreed. Alpha doesn't decide they are alpha. Alpha is chosen to be so.
Or it could be a big dude with a phat dick and potential roid rage, who is capable of smashing your doors in good and proper so you can't walk straight for a week. Can't decide right now. |
