I've posted this in the irish forum, just looking for opinions from outside the emerald isle.
Firstly I am not encouraging people not to take prescribed medication. I am just sharing my experience.
Having suffered with depression and anxiety attacks for years I finally sought help. The only option I was given was pills. At the same time a friend suggested meditation. Long story short, meditation, exercise, healthier diet no pills and I havnt had an attack in about 13years.
What are your opinions?

I don't think it's a one size fits all. As probably you don't either, but if someone has deeper issues than meditation can cut vs medication (no offence). Then it's better they take that vs try to self treat. I work with many folk with mental health issues, and often if they're off their meds then they cause themselves all kinds of harm through poor choices |
