"“A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to” And it’s not in the book… the whole meeting with Frodo and Gandalf doesn’t happen that way in the books, I’m genuinely hoping it comes up at some point. If it doesn’t I have to credit Peter Jackson and not Tolkien for my favourite line and that doesn’t sit right | |||

As a Tolkien fan I can say without seeing it that it’s based on a lot of his unpublished work, they also added a lot that hasn’t been in Middle Earth lore or changed things around. As I’ve said I’ve only just started the lotr books again and it was a surprise to find the eye of Sauron isn’t a thing so I’m dreading finding what else has been changed in rings of power
