I'm with you on the snakes. I nearly jumped out of my own skin a while back when I came across some that an adder had shed whilst cycling to work one day.

a few years ago there was one in the middle of the road as I was driving along, when I went past it I couldn't see it in the mirror so was convinced it had wrapped itself round the axle and was waiting to bite me... I was too scared to get out of the car for ages so sat there for about half an hour. Eventually I had to get out, so threw the door open wide, leapt out and ran

I cant swim and for years never went in anything bigger than a half filled bath, i can just about get into a jacuzzi now days, but im very weary and on guard while im in there, i cant get in and relax

No idea why im so scared of water, i just get panic attacks if i get near the stuff, my kids used to have swimming lessons and my sister had to take them as i cant even sit at the side of a swimming pool and watch, i can feel myself getting all worked up

Also heights and bridges over water, and the deep sea. I'm absolutely terrified on the ferry to France and Dublin. I'm trying to work on them though!

I had a real bad anxiety issue 2 years ago and part of last year and I was absolutely terrified of the Arndale Centre, if I could manage to make it in there I would often have a panic attack and the other half would find me in the corner of the car park.! Does that count as one of the weirdest phobias ever?

Brighton - even Hove!

Not scared of anything much, although I once almost fell down a lift shaft so nowadays I check to see if the lift is actually there when the doors open. It's a 3 second delay....I'm not overly keen on spiders but not scared of them but I wouldn't touch a huge one like a tarantula if I didn't have to.

When I was a kid I had a dream about a giant earwig... it was about to bite my head off and as I start to wake things only got worse, now fully conscious the dream becomes real as there was in fact an earwig on my pillow so close to my eye it really looked like a giant!!!

Strangely perhaps, I don't have irrational fears of insects, animals or anything else including earwigs.

A world of my own

I'm not really scared of anything, well not any kind of creepy crawlies or animal. I used to be terrified of spiders as a child and young adult but I was cured after holding a tarantula. Oh I suppose I'm scared of water as in I can't swim, that said I love being near it just not in it!
