All over

Sunday has always been traditionally the first day based on the day of rest etc which was Saturday. However because of the working week starting Monday, 'the international standard ISO 8601 for representation of dates and times, states that Sunday is the seventh and last day of the week'.

Many people have Monday morning blues because Monday is the first day of many people's working week. The start of the working week, so Monday is the first day of the week

But not for the USA where Sunday is the first day of the week.

The weekend involves Saturday and Sunday ergo Monday must be the start of the week.

Sunday - based on biblical tradition, the sabbath (Saturday) was the seventh day and a day of rest - however, my working week begins on a Monday.

"The weekend involves Saturday and Sunday ergo Monday must be the start of the week."

But Saturday could be at one end and Sunday is the other end, bit like the 2 ends of a piece of string.

Monday that's why Saturday and Sunday are called "weekend".

I would say Monday. If you look at the wording "weekend" we all know that's a Saturday and Sunday so therefore, the start of the week is Monday.

I can understand totally that there are certain jobs where Sunday is the start of the working week but if you look closer, the majority of those companies are non UK owned and therefore have the continental working week.

Happy "hump" day by the way

If Saturday and Sunday are the week “end” then logically it’s Monday right?
