I will be in Swanage for next few days and would love to go for a wild swim in some of the local beauty spots in the area. Anyone knows of any nice ones? |

"Other than the sea, just be careful of wild swimming at the moment. The Tories have royally fucked our rivers and they are dying at an alarming rate. "
Ah, that's a shame |

Depending on where you are there are managed lakes and other outdoor swim venues where water is regularly tested and they are safe to swim plus they often have safety cover/ life guards.
Rivers best to avoid after heavy rainfall but some are still OK you just have to know where is best to go. |

I will be staying near Corfe castle but I don't mind traveling up to half an hour to maximum an hour if it's worth the travel. I hope the weather stays lovely , well at least the forecast says it should. I will be a happy (bunny). |

I read that as “I will be in sewerage for next few days”.
Which is quite appropriate really. Lol. |

Actually, I might be going there in the summer. Might get in touch |

Studland bay is only a few minutes drive away from corfe castle.
Swanage itself is a nice place to swim.
Your not a million miles from durdle door.
As always swimming in unknown water try to get some local advice on currents, tides etc.... I would advise not swimming alone see if there's any local organised swim's.
Good luck and stay safe |

I swim most days all through the year (wetsuit in winter)
It's an amazing sensation. Clears the head and invigorates the body. Lakes , rivers and the sea.
I can't recommend it enough especially at this time 9f year.. |

Mrs C enjoys wild swimming very much - if it's a new place you're trying out see if there's a local group for it on bookface or similar, to get some local knowledge (they'll know how many shopping trollies are in there). |
