I’ve taught online in Turkey today and my students tell me it’s the poor and uneducated that vote for him and the refugees because they tell me he gave them the vote.

TBH I don't think the opponent was any better

I thought the Turkish populace faced something of a Hobsons choice and, in the end, went for what they know
