Just a random post about PC tips and shortcuts etc lol Here are some of my favs... ( windows 7 based lol )
1. Hold down windows key and hit the tab button for a cool scroll through of your current windows that are open 
2. When scrolling through the forums or a particularly long thread hit the home button to go back to top of page
3. Buy a mouse with extra side buttons that you can use as back or forward buttons when surfing pages.
4. Clean your history etc regularly ! Not just for security but also get rid of the crap there is an excellent piece of free software you can use ( not sure i can name it in here )
5. Make sure any icons on your desktop are shortcuts only not files, any images , files or folders on your desktop will slow down start up times.
6. On the far right hand side of your task bar is a small oblong click this for a quick shortcut to your desktop.
7. Disable any unnecessary start up programs to speed up boot times
Some of you may already know all these but thought i would post a couple to help out and if anyone has any others to add feel free Plus we all get a faster more efficient experience on Fab lol

Nope they work as stand alone programs and are among the best if not the BEST out there |

Glary Utilities are better than Ccleaner (for a multitude of reasons)"
Glary utilities is very good as is Hirens boot CD but for the casual user Ccleaner is nice and simple |

Combifix is a bit hardcore but it's pretty much the only thing you can use if you get one of those poxy malwares that disables all your .exe files. |

all appear to do a better job for me than ccleaner,glary..there only problems is having to be online to use them with it being cloud based |

Vista has so many flaws in it even more so on the security front !! Bummer that you cant download either cos you could easily get a copy of win 7 |

You dont need to get it back to factory settings bud, just get the disc and install, just make sure you format the hard drive during the install process and boom there you go Win 7 |

Doesnt matter mate as when you format the hard drive during install it will wipe it |

Use Firefox with auto refresh addon to update the forums automatically. Also use Adblock pro addon with Firefox to hide all the adverts. You can Adblock title image of fab so it tidies up the screen and hides the big fab swingers logo at the top of the page. Prolly not for a beginner. Xxx
