Someone I've never met has asked me to get them an uber to my place

I ummed and ahhed and eventually said no.
Tell me I did the sensible thing?
Apart from the possible scam issue there would be a unhealthy power dynamic there I'd be unhappy with even it wasn't a scam.
Then again,she could have been lovely, and, as she mentioned, poor,and I've just missed out on an experience? |

We were talking about Camus only thirty mins previously,amongst other things, so they seemed relatively legit.

Of course you did the right thing! Say it out loud...some random person asked for your home address.
Out of interest, was there not any option other than coming to yours? You could have headed to their area and met for a drink local to them? |

Had someone wanting me to send them a tenner for petrol so they could get to my place. This was after a meeting had been arranged.
I told them to get the fuel and I'd give them the £10 when they arrived. Then the sob story started. I never ever give people I haven't met any money. |

Some women are so high maintenance and expect this. It happened to me a while back I was taking a Russian girl to this restaurant right near me, she asked what time I’m picking her up I said I’m not just get an Uber , she was mortified and said I should send my driver or an Uber |

alas you'll never know you could have ordered the taxi and paid for the taxi to pick her up and bring her to you and she could have been the sexiest thing on two legs but you'll never know now  |

It is not unreasonable if you are taking someone on a restaurant date to pick them up at all.
