That sounds alot of fun ... i do same thing with family pics mix them up with other things and end up in a pic on the wall . Some things can be easy .. as long as its relaxing and fun that's half of it for me really.

In my spare time I build guitars (electric not acoustic as I don't have the facilities to steam the wood into shape). I build them to order or just for my own collection. Currently I'm building a replica of Rory Gallagher's '61 sunburst Start, including the wear and tear. Each one takes around 3 months.

I also repair guitars and set them up for friends too.

Im thinking of trying to take that up but it brings back bad memories of getting chucked out of needle work frequently over the odd dropped stitch

It's actually much simpler than you'd think.

If I've got everything ready and prepared I can turn a box of parts into a fully working instrument in under 2 hours.

That's only if the body and neck are ready though, they're the bits that take the time...

I cross stitch. Takes time, but it's great to do whilst watching a DVD, with a glass of wine and just chilling.

I can turn my designs into most things, cushions, keyrings, cards.

When my kids were young I knitted, made clothes, baked, made dressing up costumes, gardening, DIY etc. Now I wonder how I ever had the time/energy! I work full time have the care of my 4 year grandson and am nearly always too tired! Would like to try crochet though.

Jewellery making. I can string pearls and perform simple wire wrap.

Also like to make cards, and had made my own Christmas cards since 1980s. No longer make them now that I have discovered the likes of Vistaprint.
