Hi. I see a lot of people wearing like balaclava type masks in photos and videos. Is this because people find them sexy or is it purely to hide their identity?

It's possible. Although they do tend to be wearing nothing but the mask

Not allowed to call them Terrorist Masks anymore. That offends Terrorists. They are now to be known as Identity Prohibitor Masks.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Honestly I see them in lots of pics and videos. They are like black wool with just eye and mouth holes. Occasionally I've seen pink ones too

I mean, if you're going to protect yourself against Covid, upgrade from the baggy blue (but yeah)

It's an unusual choice for a Fab picture, I think is what the OP is saying.

I often wear an FFP3 in public but I wouldn't choose to put one of those on Fab.

I don’t think it’s that weird. Plenty of men and women wear them on here to hide their faces rather than crop and also some people wear masks during sex.

It's quite possible!

The evidence is out there. I literally saw some guy in a balaclava explode in some poor girls face in a video the other day.

I'm not saying weird in a "people shouldn't do that" way - more "huh, unusual". I can see why people might think it's odd

Popularised by grime/drill scene. Mostly younger “thotty” girls would wear them to appeal to that crowd. Considered an aesthetic. Call them ballys.

Grime and drill are not interchangeable. Don’t think it’s really been popularised by grime at all.

Drill maybe but drill artists would’ve worn Ballys before then it’s mostly just linked to criminal activity more than the music.

I think it’s more likely men would wear ballys to hide their face from crime than ‘thots’.

Imo anyway

La la land

It's because if you see my eyes you'll turn to stone. I also have snakes instead of hair. I actually do own a mask but it only has a hole for my mouth. Reason is I like sensory deprivation. Funnily enough I posted a picture of me in it the other day.

It’s just movement - e.g no face no case. Grime/rappers/drillers/trappers act on this.

Alot of drillers would wear ski masks etc and pose with their hands over their faces in videos/pocs. Young girls wearing them and posing in them for onlyfans (skimaskgirl on timtok) or insta thirst-traps, it’s appealing to this music scene.

Also a popular filter on snap.

I think they switched because they got too distracted sniffing the stockings.
