I'm surprised to see this on here - I have a Sisu tattoo done about 20 years ago, written in tiny font hidden in another larger tattoo..
I didn't know they'd made a film - Sisu is also a Finnish poem, and something all Finnish people have is 'Sisu'. It basically means strength & courage in simple terms. |

"Aatami: Dumps gold on counter - "Bills, big ones, please."
Clerk: Nods quietly.
Aatami: "Won't be so damn heavy to carry."
"
And that's his entire dialogue in the film. At 90mins it is the perfect run time although it seems longer, not because it was boring but because they crammed a lot into the story. Unlike John Wick 4. At 169mins it was just too long and became monotonous compared with Sisu. |

A decent film. Wouldn't say great. It puts me off whenever someone with a gun decides to go near the person they are targeting. The biggest advantage of having gun is you can kill from a distance. Why the fuck would you go near?
It made sense in Jon Wick because they wear a bullet proof suit and one has to get the head shot correctly.
But Sisu overall was a recent watch. Loved the characters and setting. |
