I need to rant.
Let out my inner ball of fury.
I'm boring, if I'm chatting to someone I like I don't do multiple chatting/date arranging.
The gates are closed (single males blocked).
I'm going on a date on Saturday night a real actual date and I'm excited, he's lovely.
So I replied to the other messages to be polite explaining situation.

Op I agree. I always hide my profile if I’m talking to someone I like and want to meet. Just my personal choice.
So my rant.
Why can’t people drive anywhere need a speed limit. I’m not talking crazy driving in bad conditions but 30 in a 60…no just no.
Or those that do 40 in a 60 and continue to do 40 in a 30
I have an hour commute to work and I’m sat there thinking if you drove 10mph quicker you could’ve had more time in bed.

I think that's really lovely OP. Genuinely do. I adopt a similar approach - when I'm invested in something I sort of close off things with others so I can give attention to that person.
I hope your date goes well, your excitement is palpable.
I'm not going to vent on here, it wouldn't be fair. And I think maybe time to process things is better.

It feels petty having this rant after KC has obviously had some terrible news but I'm hoping I'll feel better for the vent. I only get a 30 minute lunch break and it would be nice if just *once* I could get through it without the gate/door buzzing, a first aid incident or colleagues interrupting with an "I know you're on your lunch but..."

I spent yesterday on the phone with a broken man, there is nothing worse than hearing a man cry.
It's not my story to share so briefly a family member, a little one was hit by a car, she's gone.

I'm back to rant more. Honestly.
My date, my beautiful broken date.
Short version - his niece was hit by a car on her way to school, she never made it.
It's been such a difficult few days, there's nothing worse than watching a man fall apart. Calls from outside hospital. Video calls. Watching another human suffer that pain.
On telling a couple of people they thought he was lying to get out of the date or even better let's us meet then.
Oh and still the wrong choice I'm missing out.

Roads... Fucking shitty 3rd world roads.... Holes, i mean proper holes like 6 inches deep everywhere...no lines on them... No drainage because the idoit fuckers have just tarmacced over them the last time they laid a microlayer over the road... No signage because they are all covered in green and need washing or have been over grown... Weeds growing through the kerbstones... Cant see at junctions because the grass is 3 feet high... Its no wonder people die on the roads...still we have smart motorways so thats ok.. "
With you on the road rant. I pushed an extra 0.3km round the Manchester 10k last week, dodging potholes and finding the least shitty bit of tarmac.
My other rant today is about whinging children. Why must my child whinge about everything today?!  |

I am not talking about all cyclists.I deliberately specified the type I was talking about.Yes their are incompetent drivers,some of them are in Police cars.Overtaking on a blind corner fully into oncoming traffic(not responding to an incident) for example.3 motorcycle cops on the wrong side,racing,(admitted by their Inspector)forced a mate off the road.Just "letting off steam" .no action taken. |
