"Can I be altar boy.?
Girl.
Thing ... person ... whatever
Not the one we sacrifice surely?! "
Not exactly what I had in mind.
Was thinking more assisting the high priest(ess), taking ground the collection bowl, sending the incense about a bit |

Can the temple roof be two domes capped with two much smaller domes within a painted circle and the entrance a sort of double oval door with a round keystone at the top that takes you into a tunnel? |

"Is there one we can join or should we start one?
Answers on nude post cards please."
In 1892 there was one in Stamford hill called the Agapemonite - worth looking up (the Georgian Cathedral or Church of the Good Shepherd).
Love it.
A controversial nineteenth-century religious sect whose original leader, Henry Prince, was an itinerant preacher, charismatic leader and renegade minister of the Church of England. He declared himself to be the incarnation of the Holy Spirit. You'd like the scandals and lawsuits, as the 'spiritual marriages' contracted between the sect's leaders and various female followers had a carnal dimension.
Next key leader was Smyth-Pigott, he was defrocked by the Church of England in 1909, six years after he had declared himself the Messiah. He had relations with the numerous women who fell under his influence (pretty sure he would be on Fab) and had to be protected by the police from a mob of thousands after he had declared himself to be Jesus Christ but declined to walk over Clapton Pond.
I may have got side tracked, but I love history and strange religious movements! |
