Suggested to my wife she should get matching bra and knickers...you would think I asked her to rob Buckingham Palace.
Dont think shes ever had a matching pair of underwear.

That's her preference if she doesn't like matching sets, for me being a "bigger girl" or "bbw" I can't always find nice bras in my size with matching undies that I like or the bras ok but the undies don't cover nothing kinda defeats the purpose lol so I'm often mismatched.. not out of choice |

Since we met my wife always wears matching under wear, she never did before but I showed her the error of her ways, now the error of her ways is called husband. |

Mine only match if I’m going out, or I’m dressing up for T, the rest of the time, it’s whatever works for the outfit or what I’m most comfortable in haha

Yes, it's normal.
Some women like to match others couldn't care less.
I do own matching undies but I usually just wear whatever is comfortable and suitable for the outfit.
Do you match socks and boxers OP?

I actually wore a matching set today. It's very rare I'll be matching. I find a lot of my underwear are very good for mixing and matching anyway so it isn't a big deal. I love being a little bit of an oddball.  |

I made a decision when I was young to only buy underwear that matched. I had to do this in order to rein in my out of control lingerie habit. After so many years, it feels wrong to wear non-matching lingerie. But that's just me. People should wear what they like, whether matching or not, as long as they feel good and like what they're wearing. |

I always wear odd socks! I'm not a complete freak and they do come from the same set,I just mix them up
Shoes however must match.
Underwear, depends on my mood

There is no "normal". Matching seems more elegant to my eye but I won't lie that it matters on daily basis. Saying that.. the invisible power wearing a gorgeous piece of lingerie gives you.. eh.. doesn't really matter if anyone gets to see it  whether matching or not.

Yes. It's normal. Matching underwear is not practical for every day wear as the bras are usually lacy and/or unsupportive.
I make the effort for special underwear on special occasions.
OP, what effort are you showing her to inspire her? |

Mine always matches even if my top outfit is crap. I don’t even possess any non matching if I like a bra that does not have matching I put the bra back.
I have been like that since I was very young.

There are several reasons for this Nero.
-I may have purchased a matching set and the knickers get torn but the bra is perfect.
-I may have bought a specific pair of knickers suit an outfit so it doesn't have a matching bra friend.
- I bought a matching set and the bra was too big or the knickers too small so the offending item gets the bin .
So on and so forth

I have very few matching sets of underwear. Mainly because it's hard to find bras that I like in my size, even more difficult to find comfortable and supportive ones. The bottoms that come with bras are usually either thongs (which I find tacky, especially in certain colours), or midi briefs (which really don't suit my body shape), and I'm not prepared to spend a decent chunk of money on knickers that I don't like and won't wear.
That said, the vast majority of my underwear is plain black and very unfussy, so it kind of matches anyway. |

All the time. Its personal preference and makes me feel put together.
I buy a bra and then several pairs of knickers to match, preferably in different styles if they're available.
I do it for me because it makes me feel good. |

You should consider treating your wife, by going out and buying her a range of lovely matching underwear.

I will always wear matching. Even just for tesco. The exception is when I am at work and I wear comfy pants and bra but even then I try to match as best I can x |

I’d disagree, I have bigger boobs so finding a bra that fits and looks nice doesn’t always have matching knickers that look and fit nice.

Do you know how much they cost? Perhaps you could buy her some? Or give her some money to do so?
My wife has around 30 matching sets and wears a matching pair everyday.
When she goes on a meet we have an agreement that I’ll buy her a new set. The last set the bra was £57 and the knickers £28. She looks great in it, but that’s normal for her your wife’s normal may be different. Don’t try to force her. |

Dont really get the cost argument. Nice lingerie can be expensive. It can be affordable. Black knickers and bra... White.. If its a choice not to thats different.
