I know we all know about mansplaining right. But those of you with teenagers in the family, have you noticed the shite they talk about stuff they think their generation invented? Like utter bollocks explanations for stuff we were doing before they were even past yellow poohs?
Teensplaining .... God, please give me strength! |

That's pretty much what I thought it was! Geezers hanging about the roads. They probably don't call them geezers though. |

Oh fuck yes.
And not just the explaining.
It's the utter bollocks they come out with when caught doing something they know they shouldn't, as if we all didn't do the exact same thing at their age and try to fob our parents off.
Fuck me - we were 1000 times worse at their age (and possibly still are). There's literally nothing they try to do behind your back that you didn't do years ago and got caught for too.
And they think they're such rebels and so edgy.

Absolutely.
But don’t lose sight of the fact that you were exactly the same with your parents. It must always be. |

I think roadman is the modern chav.
It's the incessant "brah" they always say that gets me and spilling the "tea". There were perfectly good words that made plenty of sense before they started messing with things and making me feel old.

Mine are 17, 19 and nearly 22....everything is 'long', what they mean (I think) is when they can't be bothered to explain anything that has more than, say, 10 words!
I am called 'G' a lot, no idea why.

Now I thought I had roadman sorted. But then I see this:
What is a Roadman? Roadman: A “roadman” is a modern slang term for a smart teenager who is involved in local events like parties, cruising, and trapping. They have a good understanding of their community and the people within it.
So I still dunno if it's a gangsta or a cool dude.

I'd agree with this, although not a word I'd use, my daughter uses it a lot, I'm pretty sure when she uses it she isn't talking about 'gangsters' but just friends in general.
She uses it to confirm I've done something she approves of when she says 'my G' and fist bumps me. |

I understood 'G' to mean gangsta
I think it’s just a general term of endearment these days for either gender.
I regularly say G to my friends. - yo g / yes my g etc.
I'd agree with this, although not a word I'd use, my daughter uses it a lot, I'm pretty sure when she uses it she isn't talking about 'gangsters' but just friends in general.
She uses it to confirm I've done something she approves of when she says 'my G' and fist bumps me."
Not suggesting she or her friends are gangsters but my son said that the origin of G is gangsta (as a term of endearment). I think it's just been picked up and used differently now |

"Now I thought I had roadman sorted. But then I see this:
What is a Roadman? Roadman: A “roadman” is a modern slang term for a smart teenager who is involved in local events like parties, cruising, and trapping. They have a good understanding of their community and the people within it.
So I still dunno if it's a gangsta or a cool dude.
Whats trapping, hunting rabbits?"
No
Trap is a kind of rap music.... Trappers make aforementioned music. |

"Mine are 17, 19 and nearly 22....everything is 'long', what they mean (I think) is when they can't be bothered to explain anything that has more than, say, 10 words!
I am called 'G' a lot, no idea why.
If its peak its good, or leng or peng (the best). But if its dead and its meal time I'm in trouble
Lol I think ‘G’ means girl x that’s a term of endearment right there x

Oh it's still the meaning, but not like real gangsters. It's like lots of other words, repurposed to suit. |
