What one's have you got and how do you treat them?
Never had any problems growing up but now at the age of 38 have started suffering from Hay fever, nothing severe a fexofenadine tablet sorts it out luckily it's only mild.
Have a great day all. |

If symptoms get bad the allergy tests are brill, 1st 10 samples are the most common, if not them then samples such as hoover dust, aerosol brands etc can define problem. |

I’m the reverse. I suffered with hayfever until I was roughly 32 then it just disappeared.
Luckily no other allergies |

Ibuprofen and colophony. The former is easy to avoid. The latter much less so. It's a tackifier found in adhesives but also lots of other things, like some cosmetics, industrial products (ink, glue, lubricants). It causes me contact dermatitis and I've been allergic to things like shoes (adhesive to stick in the insole); surgical dressings (ouch when you get an allergic reaction over a wound) and makeup products.
I avoid anything sticky/tacky and bring my own dressings to surgical procedures. I don't use makeup and stick to other cosmetic products that I've tried and tested. |

I have an allergy to a food group - I tend to cook from scratch day to day, have to inform staff if I'm eating out, general safety etc.
Always carry around 2/3 epipens and piriton and make sure my sexual partners haven't eaten the aforementioned food items - a paramedic who came out after my most recent allergic reaction told me about how it can be carried in semen. He might be right, he might have been trying to make me laugh and relax. Either way, I don't take the risk. |

Oddly salmon is the only thing I’m allergic to, if I ate some I’d be in hospital, if the residue touches me I break out in a rash
Otherwise absolutely nothing, im pretty lucky |

I am allergic to bee stings, I'm supposed to carry one of those jabbs with me but I never do. Seems like a waste of nhs funds to keep replacing the one in my bag when it goes out of date just in case I need it, I don't get stung often.
I am allergic to latex, and some cleaning products... it causes my skin to bubble up with urticaria blisters which itch but are sore, I am supposed to use antihistemine creams on the outbreaks but its getting a bit expensive now to buy.
I am allergic to eating chillies, my mouth burns and swells up and I start to feel like I can't breathe, best to just avoid them.
I am getting more and more allergic to those fields of yellow flowers they make oil from, I take certirizine for it but its not helping much. |

Had hay fever like symptoms year round for many years nothing touched it was taking 2 of the “one a day” antihistamine tablets you buy at the shops 2-3 times a day. Kenacort injections changed my life literally was symptom free 2 days after first shot of it i buy them online on an Indian pharmacy costs about 30 quid for a few years supply rather than what private places charge for a single shot of it don’t think the nhs does it anymore |

I have a mystery adhesive allergy. Only really a problem in medical settings, where they need to be told to keep that thing off me more than once |

Nylon, Penicillin, the adhesive on plasters, lactose and caffine... im a joy.
Most have only come on since having chemo though so it's probably weakened my immune system |

A range of drugs called sulfanomides. It doesn't affect day to day life. I have to have discussions when getting vaccines or new medication. Plus I get a snazzy red wrist thing when I have to go to hospital.
But if I take them I could die, so it's best I don't. |
