Probably could have been done for less than £10 million and we could be just as boring as every other European country.
Probably could have people stop smoking and drinking and saving the NHS billions. Probably could stop being so generous with benefits and get people back to work to pay tax so we are not as dependant upon the tourism that the royals undoubtedly support.
Love how the emotive play on the NHS is always pulled out but is mismanagement is beyond reproach and the money that is squanders is never challenged, people just support throwing more money at a system that enables people to mismanage their health and have the state wipe the arse.
Bitching about the royals is sooo boring when there are many other institutions and organisations that waste money.
We pay more for hotels for illegal immigrants every 28 days than the funeral cost as a once off cost and we get fuck all for that either.
