I think your sex drive gets higher with age, mine has anyway, when i was in my 20s, tho i liked sex i could take it or leaved it i want sex all the time now days lol so why stop? i hope im still going in my 50  |

It depends on the person doesn't it, some over forties seem way over forty and some seem younger. I think it's about your mental attitude to sex and life in general. I suppose it also helps if you haven't let yourself go too much (mental note to self: get more exercise).
I would generally prefer to meet people around my own age (mid forties) as it's more likely to have things in common..... plus I would feel old if I was with some young thing! |

I'm 42, it's the answer to life, the universe and everything. My profile gives an age range of 35-60 because I like meeting people with similar interests to my own and I hope they have experience in swinging and are emotionally secure. I'm not 'past it'.....  |

We only started swinging last year,in our fortys and having a great time.We in total sync with our sexuality 
Sure we all have met or seen swingers @ partys or clubs who look a lot older or younger than their age!!
Well we got 2/3 years left before the next swingers age bracket of 45...seems to be a cut of date for some younger fabsters.....not to worried mind we both look after ourselfes  |

I thought life begins at 40? well i'll let you know when i get there but seriously you have absolutly nothing to worry about i was talking to a customer on tuesday and she said as we get older we lose our inhibitions. |

Me I'm 53 and have to say certainly don't think over 40 is too old for being a swinger. I just wish I realised there were so many swingers about and wish I'd found this site many years ago. At the moment, I'm having the time of my life. |

Age is what you feel you are and to some extent how well you have weathered is immaterial as you look at the inner person....
but I have been with mature youngsters in their twenties or young in mind and body in late fifties. Age is just a number which can be defeated by a mindset and a young outlook....forget about nips and tucks, botox and wrinkle creams |

we have enjoyed our meets whether with older or younger people. I think age is more inmportant to the 20 somethings. Like a lot of people on here have said, I think it's more about mindset than age. However, they don't have a mindset filter on our profiles  |

I would love to say age makes no difference, but in reality it does! No matter how we _iew age, others have their criteria and if we don't fit that in the age department, it's a no go!
We have age preferences purely to narrow our searches and ensure we meet people older than our kids. Thing is, since we passed the 50 mark, offers and requests for even a chat have dried up! We even chatted with a couple our age about the lack of contacts or response and we both had similar wants. No matter how much we indicated that we liked them and would be up for it, they never showed an interest.
Although we have a range from about ten years younger to 30 years older, everyone seems to be looking for someone younger!  |

When you say age is more important to the 20's age group, do you mean in the sense that they don't care or are more strict on who they will meet as I thought age was more important to the older age group? |

I notice that the vast majority of those who attest to age not being a problem are single women! I don't really think you can look at that in the same way you would _iew couples or single guys!
I would say that single women mostly meet single guys and so have a vast pool to choose from and factor in the usual single guy attributes and you would have a reason for older single women getting loads of meets!
As a couple, we have not had any really interested couples for a while and those we do get just haven't read the profile! We are not even looking exclusively for those younger than us. Still no luck. On another (pay) site we are on, we do get mail, so all is not barren.. |

age does have a bearing to us as we do have age filters on our profile however as we are both in our forties and content with how we look and interact socially, we are completely content with moving into our 'middle age, |

I didn't start swinging until I was 41 and in the last 11 years I've had more sex, and tried a vast variety of sexual antics...far more than I ever did in the preceding years, so for me life in my forties and now my fifties has been a fantastic time so far, long may it continue
