What is the one song that reminds you of your teen years
Jump to: Newest in thread
Great subject and I have pondered the question, so I first saw the video of this song on a Saturday morning TV show, possibly TISWAS.
So if I hear it, it always reminds me of my teenage years. It’s …..
Tears for Fears - Everybody wants to rule the World. |

Early teens Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Mid teens Blondie - Heart of Glass and Boomtown Rats - I Don't like Mondays
Late teens Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners
(ask me again tomorrow and it will be completely different, completely missing Dylan, Police, Cohen, Clapton, Bowie, OMD, Clash, the Str*nglers, Dire Straits, Joan Armatrading, Sade....) |

Damn there's a bunch the first one that popped into my mind though is.
Song for my Sugar Spun Sister.
Lay back on the roundabout sharing the Walkman headphones on a sunny evening like this.
Until the sky turns green
And the grass several shades of blue! |

Parisienne walkways. Had a mate that was in a band and this was one of the most requested songs at their gigs. The hairs on the back of my neck still stand up every time I hear those first few guitar chords!! |

Any and every Wham song.
I grew up on that band.
When George Micheal died, it felt like a family member had died.
I got my first french kiss to Careless whisper. 1st holiday without family reaps of club tropicana and used to sing young guns with a mate when we were chatting girls up together, |

"Giggs - Talking the hardest.
I still no every word and go crazy to it.
We have more in common than I thought. One of my friends does this for karaoke. "
Lmao that would actually be a great Karaoke song. I’m writing it down |

Music Sounds Better With You - Stardust
I remember getting ready to go out and feeling full of excitement and with that thrill of knowing I was going to have a great night with my friends. So much dancing, singing and laughing

Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me. Always played repeatedly on road trips with friends or karaoke.
Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus. Probably got me more sex with women than any other band.
Pearl Jam - Most of the Ten album. Still love the album but their bootlegs of various concerts over the years are amazing. |

Don’t have one in particular, the gym I go to often plays the bounce heaven podcast and occasionally there’s an old happy hardcore song from the 90s that really takes me back to teens, disco land was on the other night Haha |

Cupid's Ch*kehold - Gym Class Heroes
Ride it - Jay Sean
What's Luv - Fat Joe, other people
And one song that I'll always adore. Well two.
Curse of Curves - Cute Is What We Aim For.
A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me - Fall Out Boy. That video will always have a hold on me. |

I'm not sure who sang it but I remember the lyrics being something like this to a remix song..
-When I was young it seemed that life was so wonderful, a miracle it was magical-
I use to listen to it when I was in the gym and I was young and feeling invisible. I recently went back to a gym and I tried to lift the same weight I used to lift and I couldn't budge it. |

"Anything from The Stone Roses pivotal album. "
I remember earnestly telling my mum once that the Stone Roses would be the most remembered band from the nineties long after Blur and Oasis had faded to obscurity... |
