Good evening everyone and welcome to tonight's Monday nocturnal thread live from my local supermarket ..
I'm reluctantly here as my wife insisted we need to go shopping now!(those of you who know my wife know that resistance on my part would be futile! 
Why not stop by and say hello and tell us what you're doing tonight especially if you're a newbie or lurker on the forum...
We have now been on the first Isle for almost 30 minutes...(this is where the women's dresses are) 
As I'm here if anyone needs anything please do let me know!... |

It's the first time I've been the first So I feel my Fab initiation is complete! I had a lovely long walk today. I don't envy you doing the big shop. Hope we can bring you a Lidl cheer....  |

Good evening Ash. In the days before self checkouts there used to be a night checkout person on where I used to live 20 years ago, that I had a massive crush on, so it made late night shopping a joy… Until I found out he was married so I moved to day time shopping after that. I never told him I fancied him thank god. |

Evening all evening ash
ive been buzy trying to get my new place sorted and was out looking for new sofa but no luck so far .got home shattered came on here on here and was pleasantly engaged in conversation with lovely lady which brighten my day . been so busy to get anything from supermarket so might be a long list but now seeing the time its too late order now you'll be home . |

Good evening Ash, I hope you are trolley scootering up and down those late night empty aisles. Back in the old days, before the pandemic introduced us to the ease of home delivery, I used to do our shopping in the small hours. It was fun trundling down the aisles, feet off the floor, frantically grabbing things from the shelves as sailed by. Ailsa invariably wondered why our cupboards were stocked with such an eclectic mix of stuffs, but it made for some creativity in the kitchen |

Good evening George.....I'm slowly getting better at driving my trolley now but there are boxes everywhere as the late night staff are re stocking the shelves for tomorrow...
We certainly had some very unusual meals during the pandemic and lock downs as it wasn't always easy to get everything we needed .. |

We always have a list but the Mrs does like to wonder up and down every Aisle so we end up with a few extras and sometimes things mysteriously end up in the trolley! |

You're very welcome...it's not so busy now and we're about half way through now and the biscuits aisle is coming up next!
I prefer supermarkets at night and yesss biscuits for the win!
I managed to find all my favourite biscuits so it was worth coming at this time ..
What's your go too?
I love hob nobs, jaffa cakes, custard creams and jammy dodgers..
How about you?....
Hob nobs definitely, shortbread and fresh baked cookies
I love shortbread too...Will get some next time.... "
Are you the type to do every isle or skip the ones that you don't need? I have to do them all |

Supermarket sweeps late at night or early morning are so much better than the rest of the day!
I’ll have to only give you 3 out of 4 on your biscuit choices though, one of them is definitely a cake

I normally just go and get what's on list but if I'm with the Mrs she must go up and down every Aisle! |
