Gateway to the Beacons |
Words and music, two forms of art,
Both have the power to touch the heart,
To reach within and stir the soul,
And make us feel more whole.
For words can move us with their grace,
And paint a picture in our mind's space,
They can express the depths of pain,
Or lift us up with joyous refrain.
And music, with its melodies sweet,
Can make our hearts skip a beat,
It can soothe us in our darkest hour,
Or empower us with its driving power.
But if I had to choose just one,
To touch my soul and get the job done,
I would choose the music's tune,
To lift me up, to make me swoon.
For when the melody starts to play,
I am transported far away,
To a place of peace and harmony,
Where my soul can truly be free.
So whether words or music touch the soul,
It's up to the individual, to make them whole,
For in the end, it's the heart that decides,
Which poem, which song, will truly resonate and abide. |
