"Looking for advice please...I'm going to buy a PVC dress for play. Any recommendations? I've seen one on a website that recommended buying spray to help you in...is this necessary? Thanks xx"

"Just found wet look lingerie? Does this tick the box?"
It can do.
Similar look, but you won't get the high gloss look you get with pvc. More of a leatherette type shine. |

What kind of play?
I have latex, pvc and wet look all. Vanilla
Latex needs dressing aid and shine aid.
Pvc tends to be cheaper and degrades slower than latex.
Wet look cheaper and more manageable

Hello!
PVC can be stiff and less forgiving than latex, so tends to take on folds and wrinkles over time- especially if it’s off the peg. Latex will stretch and mould itself around you, and depending on how tight it is, can either be incredibly flattering and work like a whole-body Spanx, or make you feel like a horribly self-conscious over-stuffed chipolata.
Wet-look spandex is the comfiest to wear, but will be less durable.
The only other consideration is how quick you want to be able to get it off- wrestling your way out of skin tight latex can be a bit of a passion-killer, and PVC isn’t always much easier- so consider picking an outfit with zip access! |

"I'm starting to explore light bdsm. Will be used in vanilla play too"
Depending if you are top/bottom switch, your money is better invested in good equipment and education.
I know it’s not what you asked but it might be worth joining the website we are not allowed to mention, buying The new Topping book and The new bottoming book. There are also books on wax and needle play and so much more.
Whilst the clothes make you feel the part, when first dipping a toe in I would definitely go with something cheap and comfortable. You could spend a whole heap on latex just to discover it’s not for you. |

"Thanks again, folks. This is food for thought. Luckily I've gone zipped access, wet look so lower cost and no holes barred "
Awesome.
I remember that feeling when I first got into BDSM and dressing up absolutely helps the headspace...
Now I'm old and lazy and he gets to deal with me in my trackies and oodie.
I make the sexiest play partner |
