I was thinking that. Most of the coverage in the run up has been about the UK, and specifically Liverpool. Covering things in blue and yellow feels a bit tokenistic.

As much as how horrid the war is between Ukraine and Russia, Ukraine won out of sympathy which made last year's contest kind of pointless. As for the UK coming second, that was because we gave out the most money to support Ukraine during the war.
