Absolutely! Those like the ‘my mate fancies you’ threads. Anything by certain people who irritate me. Deliberately provocative/contentious subjects. Overtly and unnecessarily sexually graphic questions. Stuff in which I’m generally not interested. |

I'll probably post anywhere if I can think of something to say. I've never really done the nocturnal thing though, despite loving ErectJim back when he was here.
I expect that when you want to avoid certain threads they are sometimes all that you see! There is a lot of repetition on here. I've noticed that when I've not been here for a while (over 6 months recently I think) it can take me a while to see anywhere I want to post at all. Then slowly I'll see more and more. pt |

I'm not a doctor so can't offer any diagnosis, I could join in carrying a torch and pitchfork but that's not me either, and I'm not going to say other people's view is wrong(well maybe to myself)  |

Hey Bill
How are you feeling? Pretty much what others have answered already. Repeated threads, politics religion, rate my whatever, and its stupid but threads that are started and if no one posts within a few minutes the OP will keep commenting to keep it on the first page attention seeking. This seems to be done by the really new profiles

They happen on Fabguys almost every day. They're almost-always stupid rating ones though. I was always giving 0 for a laugh to certain people I noticed would rate over and over again (often quite critically) for attention! FS isn't perfect but honestly if you want to see a crappy forum just look over there. It's full of grumpily married men rating each others arses. --pt |

One thing I noticed between Fabguys and here (if anyone is remotely interested in that) is the constant use of PMs over there (ie using Reply Privately to a poster). If I was on FG for any length of time one day, I would typically get at least one PM wanting to discuss the topic via messages. Some days I'd end up with a few going on.
Any PMs I do get on Fabswingers (which is nothing like as much) are mostly unrelated to the discussion, so people do seem to be happy posting within the forum confines it seems to me, even if they don't fancy the thread for whatever reason.
I'd like to see the forum here grow a little, with a separate TS/TV thread. Anything can happen in the Lounge, but it's good to have a dedicated area too I think pt |

I've been on here around ten years now,it's expanded my knowledge of things, mostly how we have a language in common but don't use the same words, I've been taught cheese on toast is not the same as a grilled cheese |

Used to be active in political forums from my previous account. Decided to stay out of them nowadays even on other social media. Seriously my emotional health is much better ever since I made that decision. Still browse them around to know current state of affairs and have a good laugh. But don't bother replying anymore. |

Plenty to avoid. Obviously those that have been started to create friction (plenty on a daily basis) or those that suddenly get very heated and become abusive or personal. Opinions matter but extreme views are not for me here or anywhere else. Certain subjects and sorry to say, some people too, aren't my cup of tea at all and would not even read their threads. If you can't be respectful, then I want nothing to do with you. And that includes those whose opinions are guided by deep political dogma and ideology or based on unacceptable prejudices and views of other people and subject matters. Mainly, 'cake' , 'chocolate', 'what's for dinner', 'where are you going on holiday' and such like are my staple thread diet.  |

Gosh, hard agree. I see certain threads but avoid now when I see the poster. We may never have even interacted but they give me chilly-vibes/see how they interact with others and we’ve very different views so I’m avoidant of their threads. Love the music and miscellaneous thought provoking threads though, the ones sans of blatant agenda |
