Over the last couple of days I have seen a number of schoolkids, kitted out like yomping expeditionary force, out and about when I would have expected them to be in school.
Are they seriously camping out overnight in this vile weather? Is it something akin to the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme or is it some kind of daytime only curricular activity designed to give teachers a rest?
