A woman who just happened to be stood next to some Just Stop Using Oil protesters was rounded up at the coronation then fingerprinted, DNA taken and held for 10 hours despite protesting her innocence. What is ironic that this women was actually from Australia where prisoners where treated in much the same way before being deported there on prisoner ships many years ago from England. Have any fabbers suffered a similar experience. It's all over the news |

Just seen it on bbc news. What I find interesting is how come, with all that was going off that day, they just happened to have someone available to film this woman with the police. I don’t think it was filmed by one of her friends although I might be wrong |

Firstly I don't believe anything the News tells us. I've got so many examples of their Bull from my own life. Secondly if anyone is silly enough to be close enough to a group of Protestors then they have to understand they will be assumed to be part of it. Thirdly LOL and here is the part I'm probably going to get abuse about, I am all for Peaceful protesting but sadly there are so many that cause public chaos that the Police should arrest and throw them in Jail

It's sickening that this failing government has reduced this country to such a sordid mess. We would rightly be critical of despots reducing human rights, such that peaceful assembly is under such threat and the basic human right to protest is unfairly outlawed. Putin has led the way to nail dissent and we've blindly followed.
The police should be sued for large sums, to prevent innocent people being harmed and to stop applications of these odious laws in future. |

I wouldn’t go to a party if I didn’t like the organiser. I certainly wouldn’t go and try to disrupt the party and spoil the fun for everyone else.
So if we ever become a republic (heaven forbid) I’ll not be first in the queue to scream ‘not my president’ and wave placards etc at the inauguration ceremony. |

I stayed at home and aggressively delete any monarchy shit anyone sent me. The only person who got a diplomatic answer on my feelings was my grandmother.
I still think this is a terrible intrusion on our civil liberties, even if it's a thing *I* would not do. |

We live in very troubled times with a discordant society with divisions on many topics, I just feel that open protest on the streets is not the way to heal these divisions. Inevitably one persons meat is another persons poison. |

Was once arrested and charged with abh on a woman. The woman in question just happened to be my now ex wife who was trying to stab me wife a decking big knife. Happened outside my solicitors office who, thank god had cctv with video & audio. Was brilliant having charges dismissed in court and seeing her arrested and charged. For once I was grateful for big brother.  |

And in a time when people are less and less listened to, some people feel protest is their only option. It's a time honoured tradition.
I feel suppressing dissent can only lead to worse things, particularly when done on shaky grounds. |

Or mass convoy and gathering in protest in London.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
I was once arrested on false allegations.
The Police have a duty to investigate all complaints. If this woman had placed herself in such a position as to be suspected of being involved, then she was legitimately arrested - it doesn't make her guilty of anything. |

I heard her interviewed earlier she sounded like she was lying.
Maybe she was innocent just standing there next to some people breaking the law by repeatedly stopping traffic after being warned they would be arrested if they didn’t move off the road ….easy mistake to make |

Having just read the story the met giving it the old sloping shoulders.
As the arresting officer was from Lincolnshire police the case has been passed to that force.
FFS just apologise to the lady give her some compensation and then deal with it.
I am usually someone who back's the police but it's a pretty odd situation.
However who was filming her and why? |

Have to say she appeared pretty relaxed looking during it all. She didnt look upset at all. I'd have been pretty scared, upset and trying to tell anyone in earshot they got it wrong. |

Yes, you're right about that at least.
It's a part of the incremental erosion of our civil rights that's been progressing bit by bit through successive acts of legislation since the Criminal Justice Act. If the kind of restrictions on our rights had been imposed in one go, the whole country would've erupted in furious protest, regardless of political alignment. But, because they been eroded through a thousand tiny cuts as politics has drifted rightward, very few people have noticed... except for those 'lefty liberals' everybody likes to whine about. |

The route yes was only 1.3miles long but a lone woman decides to plop herself in the middle of a group of protesters instead of moving away say 50 yards away funny how she ended up there and hundreds of thousands was watching that procession but they didn't get arrested,but no I just stand with these lot with signs slating the monarch see if i get on tv lol, and how calm was she when arrested, jumping on bandwagon looking for a pay out surprised she's not American there sue for anything. |
