Pappardelle. Thick ribboned pasta, giving a much greater surface area for the (creamy white mushroom) sauce to cling onto. It's like silk on your palate.

My favourite would probably be bucatini, it's so satisfying to eat! With a really good slow cooked ragu, it's heaven.

I love love love orecchiette - with a lemony, garlicky sauce of deliciousness. Freshly made. Pan fried salmon. So good.

The sauce definitely makes the shape more appealing.

I just looked in the pasta cupboard ( yes it has its own as therecis so much of it) and have Orzo, Ditalini, Fettuccine, Linguine, Rotini, Farfalle,Pappardelle, Orrechiette,Tagliatelle,Penne and Rigatoni at the moment and some lasagne sheets. You can tell past is king in this house. I like pasta in salads and cold dishes not just hot ones. Mad

Traditional spaghetti carbonara with guanciale is my favourite pasta dish, might be my favourite dish in general (although, steak)

Favourite pasta would probably be conchiglie as it holds sauce rather well.

Tonypandy.

I made tagliatelle carbonara last night from scratch. Sauce was great, pasta was OK. Took so long to make I resorted to packet rigatoni and spaghetti for other dishes.

Made slow cook Bolognese and an arabiata.

Also made pizza dough and did pizza Bianco with garlic chicken and bacon and a BBQ meat feast pizza.
