Well, a dear elderly lady friend slipped and hurt her leg. She is now quite immobile and will be so for a little while. I wanted to get her a few books to read as she likes reading but she likes mystery like the Agatha Christie stuff. I am more into arty farty stuff myself , so not a clue of current mystery novels. Any help will be much appreciated .Thanks |

"I did a quick Google search for alternatives and found suggestions of Ruth Rendell, Margaret Millar, and Josephine Tay.
Consider if she needs large print or audio format."

"Book Tokens make for a wonderful and thoughtful gesture.
Seems she's not mobile enough to get out and spend them?
•
National Book Token gift cards can be redeemed online. "
Assuming she is tech savvy enough to do so x
