Gentlemën, Ladiës, Nøn-Binariës and Whateveriës...

A Fab friend of mine received a marketing email promoting the idea of going 'seasonal' and buying a summer cologne.

Do you subscribe to this notion? Or do you simply wear the same favourite scent/s all year round?

Not a believer is seasonal, but I do go for daytime and nighttime perfumes. Go between Christian Dior Pure Poison and Paco Rabanne Lady Million for the night. No favourites for the day.

I do think there is something in that. I personally like 'woody' smells but prefer something lighter during the summer months, especially on holiday. Nothing too floral though as not for me.

A light summer scent does make sense, actually.

You should bottle it and sell it at the local village fete.

O’da farmyard, all year round, although to be honest it can be a bit overpowering on a hot summer day.

I wear the same all year round. I like floral and sweet scents usually, so I’m on theme with the season anyway it’s just by accident

I tend to wear lemony scents because I attract horseflies like you wouldn’t believe.

No old nag jokes thank you!

No. It's mood and occasion based decision. Going woody/spicy/citrusy for different events and moments. And whatever scent makes you feel the way you want to feel that day.. if you think of it a little as a aromatherapy I guess or another accessory, albeit invisible

I love a fresh citrus scent for the summer but haven’t indulged the last couple of years. I’ve been sensible to save money and use up what I already had.

My summer daytime favourites are Dior Escale a portofino and Clarins Eau Dynamisante.

There are very few perfumes that I can wear, an awful lot give me headaches, no matter how much I like the scent. So I stick with my favourite all year round and for every occasion.

Yes, I prefer something a bit more lighter fruity/tropical in the summer. Rather than the deeper scents I wear the rest of the time.

your wildest dreams,

Oh I totally have summer and winter fragrances, as well as day and night.

Summer is lighter and fresher. Winter ones warmer, more rounded

Does wearing Nivea Pearl & Beauty on a year-round basis count?
