When did chocolate bars get so small?

local, but not too local

I bought a Double-Decker on a whim and when I opened the packet it was the size of a bourbon biscuit.

When the hell did this happen? Put them back!

Making them smaller won’t make me eat less, I’ll just have to buy two in future.

And in bad grace, at that.

‘Shrinkflation’ - maintain the same price point but offset the higher ingredient cost by making it smaller.

It’ll be the size a cadburys button soon!

Shrinking the products and inflating prices typical

I'm always a bit bemused as to why they're called "fun size". What's fun about a smaller bar of chocolate?

Even the likes of Mars Duo are smaller than the old "King size" bars.

Need to get twice as many otherwise you can only work and rest

Just do what I do. Buy a multipack, eat them all, then justify it because the bars are smaller

To be fair people are generally getting fatter and their life style just doesn't burn off all the energy.

They are definitely smaller than they were when I was a child, you get the, you have got bigger that's why they seem smaller. The gardens peas on my plate have stayed the same size though.

You are all wrong, it's our hands that are getting bigger (at least that's what caburys marketing would have us believe)

All over

Everything is getting smaller, from chocolate bars to ready meals and everything in between. Have you tried being full on a single ready meal these days. It's like what a tiny starter would be before. That's why they usually sell them like 2 for £8 or whatever as they know one will never be enough for someone with normal appetite. And they pretend they ate doing it in in the name of health whilst they keep the prices or actually increase them in most cases. Welcome to back door shafting

Are they actual real peas or painted on as the pattern of the plate?
