sorry im not gonna get to meet all you mad nutters on the 6th ok
But i gotta be realistic and say my knee is worse than i thought which limits my mobility.
I do not wanna be a burden to anyone so have decided not to attend.
I was gonna decorate me walking stick with tinsel and tuffen it out. lmao.,
But i know there will be other socials. and i wanna be fit and raring to go.

aww peaches ....
i do understand as i now have to use a stick to get about most of the time ( when i dont have a lovely someone to hold onto ) and stairs are my complete nemesis. I worry about anyone hurting my legs, tho they do that all by themselves, about falling, that i ccant use my stick and grope at the same time lol ... and i'm so horribly self conscious at the physical limitations i can now have.
but ..... having been to the last two socials i've found people nothing but helpful and supportive, and once up the stairs i stayed there as much as possible ( its where all the action is anyhow! ) to minimise the walking about and the stairs. Once over the initial "oh she uses a stick" i dont think people even gave it a second thought ...and we both have the sort of cleavages to distract attention anyhow !
so please dont let you knee put you off going ...if i can manage with all the other crappy things this illness gives me then you'll have a good time too. And hell, did i do more than manage last time ( with the help of my friends  )

When my artheritis is really bad i cant do anything and the pain is so bad i want to chop my leg off. I still went to the social and once upstairs everyone made sure i had a wonderful time and i still had plenty of fun |

Oh Honey I'm sorry its still so bad, but as has been said on here by many if that is the only reason youre not coming we will all be there to help and support you .................. and I'll bring some of my fabulous pain killers, couple of them and a voddy or two and you'll not care if the leg drops off !!!
