I couldnt believe it when I saw the breaking news of what happened at clapham common station, have you also seen it?

Commuters smash the windows in order to escape fire, as smoke was filling the carriages.

I wonder what might of caused it?

I hadn’t seen it but have just looked into it. Latest statements from BTP and LUL are saying that there was no fire but that the smoke come from a brake fault on the train.

Interested to find out in due course whether the train’s passcom and egress equipment worked as designed or not.

Always worth checking for the nearest handles and exits when joining any train

Just reinforces my choice to pushing around London today, rather than taking public transport. I wouldn't fancy being a wheelchair user in that situation. I was getting trampled just by people who WEREN'T panicking!

That is right, it might been a break fault on the train and yes, it will be interesting to see if the equipment worked as it should have.
