I'm rubbish at the whole "self care" stuff.
I will only do stuff if I think I might be getting naked with someone, so 99.9% of the time I'm a hairy mess. |

I don’t shave everyday mainly because it takes effort and I can’t be bothered some days. Doing my hair and makeup is something I enjoy doing so if I have the time I’ll do it purely for me because it makes me feel good. I’ll usually just shove on leggings and an oversized T or hoody to leave the house though, I only get dressed up a little when I have somewhere to go. I do make an extra effort with myself if I have a meet to go to. |

I do it for me but there's a difference between Sunday morning slob around the house me and going out me.
I have to look pretty smart at work these days too.

I wear comfortable, plain, breathable underwear most of the time.
I also don't shave constantly when no one is going to see it.

Personal hygiene and looking presentable are a high priority for me. Even when I am away on location and camping, I still make the effort, even if it’s a plunge pool somewhere. No excuse not too, unless you’re ill of course. |

When meeting I was always in make up and clothes suitable for the occassion.
Now I look after me for me and that does NOT involve wearing make up or dressing up.
The other day in the supermarket I saw a woman who looked fabulous. Face like a bag of spanners , evening ish style dress, glittery shoes, hair extensions , she looked great and for a while I admired her taking the time to look that good , that early in the day but in reality I really couldn't be happier not doing it.
I have other things to do with my time and as long as I am bathed and decently dressed, I'm happy and ready to face the world. |

So I shave my face every day but don't shave down below every day cos it's a slight faff and doesn't bother me to see a bit of stubble there. If those bits are going to be seen by someone else then they'll be shaved, clean and polished! |

Body hair wise I am hairy. I shave my legs for the Summer because I don’t wear tights with dresses and I wear sandals so I paint my toe nails. I do wash. I use deodrant. That fact doesn’t change regardless of having a meet or no.
My idea of self care focuses on my mental health rather than my appearance.

I do make a special effort if I am meeting - whether that is work or Fab, but if I can get away with it (i.e. working from home) then it is comfort that is more important, so big sweater, trackie bottoms and dont bother shaving. |

I wear better lingerie when I'm not meeting than I do when meeting.
When not meeting I'm wearing it purely for the feel of it, so lots of gorgeous fabrics and softest silky stockings.
When meeting I'm doing it for the look of it, and in lingerie I always feel a bit Miss Piggy-ish (vaguely ridiculous and certainly not sexy) so I wear nice underwear but not my nicest stuff.
Grooming is different and I do that when I'm of a mind to, whether meeting or not. |

No. Well, it's more nuanced than that. I look after myself generally because I enjoy doing it - having a long shower, moisturising, getting my nails done... but I don't wear makeup day to day. I don't wear sexy lingerie day to day, most of the time I'm braless and knickerless to be honest.
I like the ritualistic element of getting ready to spend time with someone, knowing that a carefully chosen lingerie set will have a person devouring me with their eyes long before they devour me.
I like wearing a little bit of makeup, taking that time to myself so I'm feeling less day to day Meli and more... like my sensual side.
It's not about doing it for someone else (although I absolutely love someone's reaction to me), it's about having the opportunity to feel like I'm kind of sexy. |

Depends on how busy I am day to day.
Shower daily, wash hair few times a week. Try and remember to shave legs and puts few times a week and give the pubes a trim.
Everyday underwear is comfy, meet underwear is smarter and usually matching. Club underwear is sexy.
Will dress however I'm mood for. Usually jeans. |

I don't see shaving my legs as looking after myself, I see it as a pain in the bum. It takes time and effort. For the most part I'm happy being a grown woman with hairy legs. My husband and kids don't care. I don't bother shaving for the swimming pool. I only shave them when it's summer and I want to wear dresses and shorts and can't be bothered to feel self conscious, or for a meet.
As to wearing sexy underwear? I'd rather be comfortable day to day in nice normal knickers. I make an effort if we have someone joining us in the bedroom, as I like to look good and be admired. |

If I'm looking after myself, it's for me. I'm not massively self-involved, but will always take a few minutes to make sure I'm looking halfway decent and smelling nice. It's more a self confidence thing, than a looking to impress you thing.
