The Chief of Police has stated that there will be low tolerance of disorder or protest at the Coronation of Charles. Demonstrators will be dealt with swiftly by his men. That is very admirable by the Chief but why not sort out these Just Stop Petrol and Animal Extinction types with the same gusto. Is this double standards.Whats going on here guys. It's all over the news

Because the rest of the world doesn't usually watch our news.

All genders of officers will be on duty that day

Exactly this. Coverage is going out world wide and so the authorities don't want anything to spoil it. I don't think I'll be viewing having said that.

A place where others reside (West Oxfordshire)

Because when your boss is having the biggest day of his life it kind of ups the stakes a little bit!

People have a right to protest and stand up for what they believe in.

I'm not bothered at all by the coronation and if they want yk hold it very visibly then good luck to anyone choosing to protest and achieve high visibility is my view.

He's king.. I don't think they need to spend that money on a huge event.

Serves them right if there are demonstrations.

I don't think it's "Animal Extinction" that will cause any problems.

Delightful Bliss

They fast tracked in the new law that anybody blocking roads or attaching themselves to stuff shall be arrested and removed with a custodial sentence, so I can't see any major problems for it, swift action shall be the way, to encourage peaceful protesting.

£100million being spent on the coronation.

The police are there to prevent the royalist from ripping apart anyone protesting the event.

It's always these pesky animals jumping on the extinction bandwagon, animals should stop hogging the Extinction malarkey and let someone else have a turn
