"I can't believe how the TV news is going overboard that it's snowing. It's winter ffs!"
What you're forgetting is, it's never snowed in this country ever, so it's understandable we don't have the infrastructure to deal with it. Even half an inch of snow can cost millions of lives as people forget how to drive or walk safely. It's the most dangerous event in recent history. |

My garden looks like its been sprinkled with icing sugar! Just a light dusting but we have an amber alert for later today. I have to go to work regardless, thank god its just a 10 min walk from home.
Take care out and about everyone! |

We have had about half an inch of snow over night, all the buses are cancelled, the airport is closed, the schools are closed and they are advising only essential travel, lol
We don't get snow here much so when we do they panic!
Don't know if I'll be able to make it to work, I'll have a go but may have to turn back ha ha ha ha. |

"Couple of inches and still coming down who knows we might have to go and join the panic buyers stocking up on 10 loaves of bread and 50 tins of backed beans. "
Don't forget to buy a load of blankets. Might be useful to also gather some dry twigs so you can start a fire when civilisation as we know it collapses under the strain of the weather and your gas fire stops working. |

Western Nottingham online - No snow here, roads running clean and clear; paths seem to be fairly ice free - certainly the south facing ones!
Im taking the sled back to Toys R Us later, unused

Don't joke about that you know anything more than an inch of snow means the end of the world as we know it especially here heaven forbid if we lived in Sweden or norway |

Grass is to soft with the amount of rain we've had this winter, it's not hard enough or cold enough to settle.

I am stuck at home as the main roads have not been cleared, and the drive from my house to the main road is covered in about 4in or more snow.
Working from home today, deep joy!

No more snow here yet. We've still got a couple of inches on the ground from a few days ago and there's more predicted for later but for the moment it's sunny but cold. |

Woke up to no snow. By the time I had a shower and came down for coffee, still no snow when I opened the front room curtains. Went into the kitchen and could see the garden was covered.
Now snow everywhere.
I HATE snow, that's why I'm working from home until it clears. |

Started snowing at 9am, and got sent home from work. It's a blizzard here, thick snow, car skidded until the electronic safety gadgets took over, got my emergency extra loaf of bread this morning at a Sainsburys and stocked up on instant M&S meals. Kids have got sledging on the downs. It all looks very pretty but I'm not gonna go out in it. |

Freezing here!
Had a few flurries but no snow lying. Snowing just now.
Being so close to the coast it rarely lies, however go a mile or two inland and it's probably a whole lot different.
Brrrrrrrrr going to stay indoors snug and cozy. |
