What food places do you consider overpriced?
Five Guys..never been in there but alot of friends said its not worth it.
Those Coffee places... cant understand the appeal of it...I blame the Friends tv show.
Nandos..small expensive grilled chickens..need atleast half a chicken.

When we visited Lincoln a couple of months back we ate at a place called The Cosy Club
Lovely venue, no arguing about that
However, we ordered some things from the 'small plates' menu
Bang, bang cauliflower @ £6.00 was 3 cauli florets, some dipping sauce and some marinated pak choi
Charred brocolli @ £6.50 was 1 (yes 1) stem of tenderstem brocolli with a dressing on
I was gobsmacked at them prices
We aren't talking Michelin star quality, we are talking a notch up from pub grub |

Sounds sad, but I always fear going ito some ordinary looking place and being charged loads of money for shitty food.
We came close to that in Paris about 10 years ago - sat in an outside cafe near that tall, famous arch and the wide roads - I dont drink alcohol day time but small bottle of was 5 euros as was a bottle of larger so i went for the larger and fries as did the others, sat down for 20/30 mins and f/d off

"Everywhere is overpriced right now. I got a sandwich and coffee in Pret and it cost me £11.60
I paid £19 for two medium glasses of wine the other day.
"
Makes you think twice about going out sadly |

The running costs for restaurants and cafes are out of control, our very good friends run a very busy cafe with 40 covers and their estimated monthly electric and gas costs for the month of May is just under £1500.
Fresh food supplies are also up by almost 26% over the last year.
Thousands of hospitality businesses across the country will fold before the end of the year. |

I have started to use an app called to good to go.
I had curry goat and rice with a festival there was enough for 2 meals at the price of 4.50.
I use it when I want a takeaway. |

I don’t know anywhere that doesn’t seem overpriced these days. I only eat out as a treat or may use a coffee shop if it’s handy. I’ll more likely grab a sandwich and drink from a supermarket when I’m working. |

Overheads are astronomical.
We ate out at the weekend and or meal for two with a glass of wine,a beer and two coffees was approximately double what I've just paid for four coffees and two slices of cake.
I look on it as paying for the experience not just the food |
