So after receiving a message. Where both us and them have both stated that we would have messaged but didn’t think you’d be interested.
Got me thinking we can not be the only ones. So I’ve had an idea ( seen as you all like games ).
Say you’re in. And if there’s anyone else on the thread you’ve wanted to message. DO IT! Tell that person you are infact interested.
Send that message, never know could be your lucky day.

I’m always suprised by the people that say that they don’t think I’d be interested in them. On this account and our couples one.
I absolutely adore meeting people for socials even if it’s not going to go anywhere. But I’ll never say never before meeting! |

I'm in.
There are a few people who I would message but just don't think they'd be interested. It's happened quite a few times that people haven't been so I tend to hold back these days, but then if we all did that there'd be no messages being sent on this site at all.

It amazes me that so many of us feel the same way. Maybe that little bit of insecurity is why we all end up here?
The nature of the site means that everything is out there to be seen as (sometimes quite literally  ) it can then be really hard not to compare ourselves to others and hyperfocus on things we feel we aren't, can't do or should be.
I've looked at countless profiles over the years and assumed I'm not their type because their verifications are all from women not a bit like me.
I'm sure I'm probably not the only one in that either.
I don't know what I'm trying to say with this waffle, I guess maybe we all need to start extending the same kindness and belief to ourselves as we give to others? |

Unfortunately positivity in ourselves is harder to appreciate than negativity….I think a lot of us see what we’re not when we should look at what we are….we all have something positive to bring and should embrace that!!
Let’s not let our insecurities stop us from getting what we want!!
Love this thread and I for one think we should all be a whole lot more positive about ourselves!!

Self confidence (or lack of) can be an issue for lots of different reasons, a safe space to be able to message people without the stark rejection and a more empathetic place to be can only be a good thing.

We will be in. Funny enough this happened with the matchmaking thread and one rather tempting soul messaged to say just this.
We had no idea and therefore didn’t add them to our list of 3.
Of course interest doesn’t mean that it has to go anywhere, for us it could be a simple as I’m interested to get to know you
