I bought one of them electric tile cutters from Wickes which cost me around £50. I thought it as a good deal because it's a piece of piss to break £50 worth of tiles when I cut them  |

Buy one of those cutting wheel thingies.
I got one, havent looked back, tiled the hall floor, kichen walls and bathroom, never tiled anything before in my life, best 50 quid I ever spent.
I tried the score and snap style of cutting tiles, just couldnt make it work, so got the electric cutting wheel "circular sawbench" type with a water reservior, and it really was easy.  |

A friends mum had art students lodging with her and wanted to retile her bathroom.
Anyway, these students told her they would sort it in exchange for a rebate on the rent. They struck a deal and had a plan.
They visited local DIY stores and asked them to donate odd tiles, end of lines stock and such like.
They ended up with loads of odds and sods, all different colours.
They smashed the tiles and made them into mosaic and designed a beautiful fairy, butterfly and flower mural covering the walls of the bathroom. They used some mirror tiles too that somehow made the image look different depending what the light was like.
When it was finished they asked if they could submit their work to the college as part of their studies.
If I remember correctly, it was accepted by the college and it was featured in the local newspaper. |

"You can get a decent Rubi for £50 if its for tiles under 30x30. All traders swear by them x "
I sell these for a living .
Your talking about a Rubi star or pocket . There not too bad but really you need a ts or tx with the breaker for good quality rubi . I use a ts60 really need to upgrade to the plus .
If your only doing a one off , the little £30 electric ones are really good . You can cut out corners even holes if you know how  |
