Gourock

After having a brief conversation with someone, it sparked a thought about which song or songs give you the feels. For me, the ones that sprang to mind were these two for different reasons

Turin Brakes - Save You

Texas- Sleep

What springs to mind for you?

Sleep by Texas is such a gorgeous song.

Lots of songs make me feel. Music is so powerful. It's really hard to narrow it down.

Two that immediately spring to my mind are Cry To Me by Solomon Burke and Need You Now by Lady Antebellum

Carlisle usually

All songs inspire feelings for me. If they don't, they're not good songs.

The ones that make me most emotional are usually more down to nostalgia and events that happened while they were present rather than the actual songs themselves.

That said. There are a handful that I didn't know at the time but hit hard when I found them later I suppose.

She Wants Revenge - Red Flags and Long Nights.

Slipknot - Snuff.

Florence and the Machine - No Light.

Band of Horses - The Funeral…instantly bawl my eyes out.

Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings Op 11 probably the most emotive piece of music for me.

Terrible things by Mayday Parade.

If you haven’t heard it go and listen to the lyrics. It’s so sad!

So many as music really can change my mood, but off the top of my head

Sound of silence

Bridge over troubled water

Missing you

Nothing compares to you

Everybody hurts
