So I Just read that Gremlins is to get a reboot. Why? It doesn't need one.
Give it ten years and films like The Matrix, Jaws, lethal weapon, the shining, will probably get a reboot.
There seems to be no original ideas left. Just reboot after reboot.

Oh I dont know I went and watched the new Total recall and loved it but every time I have tried to watch the original I have never got past first 5 mins. So some reboots are great well for me anyway |

I'd like to see what they've made it into since they've used more of Philip k dicks original short story.
Still love the arnie one though. |

Since the writer's strike, the investors have been very cautious about investing in 'risky' new, original ideas, preferring the 'old staples' of remakes that they know (think) are sure money makers overall this has led to a decline in the quality of new movies |

5-6 years ago screenwriters demanded pay rise, as they were getting peanuts. Hollywood bosses told them to get lost. So they did and now we are stuck with comics/games based films or remakes.
It seems that the only way to fight it is not going to cinema at all |

Being a geek I don't mind some comic films. Well, except for the dark knight rises. I found that boring.
Game films, the only one that's matched the feel of the game is Silent Hill. Not great but better than most.
Final Fantasy Advent Children was basically one long cutscene from the game. |

Yeah I think it will be good. I often watch old films and wonder what they will be like if they were made today. Small soldiers, I want that to be done again |
