I've never had a problem with paypal. Use it for my business as I can't take card payment and don't like giving my bank details out.

Why is it pointless?

I find it very useful, saves entering bank card details and address every time you want to buy something

Do you not have your bank linked to your paypal? Its just like using bank card online, you don't have to wait for bank transfer

i think the delay is to protect the buyer to make sure there not ripped off so they hold the money till goods dispatched

ive found in the event something goes wrong paypal just do not bother. The always side with the vendor and you simply dont get your money back.

Ive had cases where the wrong product was sent and a fake/dangerous product was received. Each time the vendor either doesnt get in touch or expects you to pay for the item to be returned - something, that ifi ts not what is ordered Paypal should at least 'persuade' the vendor to take back. Instead they dont and they get away with your cash on faulty goods.

Awful company imo

Nope, I use paypal and before christmas I orderd an item, of a kinky nature; that was pretty expensive, from a new company (for me) because I couldn't find the item, in stock elsewhere and the ones in lh and similiar were lightweight and unsuitable.

So I used paypal to order this expensive pressie and low and behold it was never delivered.

I was fobbed off by the company and within 12 hours of getting in touch with paypal (34 days after I'd paid for said item) I had a full refund.

I will use paypal when I am unsure of the other company and if a new company (to me) offers paypal payment, I am much more likely to order from them

exactly what I did on each occasion - though all the vendor has to do is not reply to emails and paypal act as if the company are not able to defend themselves. Meaning, they keep the cash.

It clears in the second you click proceed or wot ever, paypal then hold the money

In their own account for so long earning interest for a short while before depositing it in yours, or said persons account. Nearly all banks follow this proceeded!

Still safer than most methods though nothing is 100% safe and there will always be rippoff merchants unfortunately.
