Could be a quaint village or a grand country house or a little nook besides a quiet stream. Share and tell me how you feel when you're there.

My favourite is a house called Blackwell in the Lake District near Bowness. It's an Arts and Crafts house (think William Morris era) and has a pure white room with views of Lake Windermere. The architecture and spectacular detail at every turn fills me with joy each time I visit.

On Jersey, there is the most wonderful boutique hotel in the middle of such pretty woodland. It’s still close to the coast (as is everything in jersey) but feels like it’s 100 miles from anywhere.

They serve the most delicious jersey cream teas. It’s a gorgeous old building and every room is different, they use top notch supplies and the staff are great.

I’ve only been there once but I felt at peace. It was so relaxing, calming, rejuvenating. I want to go back but am saving it for an occasion on which I can take someone special.

Gullane Beach.

Its my go to special place. Beautiful, fairly quiet most of the time and has its own micro climate. The water is lovely to swim in and I've got some beautiful memories of happy days with my boys when they were small as well as times with friends.

Staffordshire

Blackrock sands.

It holds so many happy memories and we have visited many times.

We’re always amazed by the tiny coastal changes when we return, we visit at least once a year.

The place fills my heart and mind with its beauty and is one of the very few things that truly helps me forget about all the pointless worries life brings daily.

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Though not technically part of the UK, being a crown dependency, definitely Guernsey.

It's peaceful, safe, absolutely beautiful and has amazing restaurants for all tastes. A certain innocence that's long lost in the mainland still exists here. The cliff paths are the prettiest I've ever done. Anyone who's ever been curious to visit should do so at some point

The screams just add to the atmosphere of the place. The bodies can let off a little whiff now and again but it’s tolerable

My husband would probably say my vagina. I'd agree.

But if we had to choose an actual place then the sea. As long as there are no other people there, no man-made noises and no little etc.

GONE/TIMEOUT (No DMs please)

I can't say my very favourite as it is very close to my home.

But Brimham Rocks in Yorkshire is up there.

Perhaps i don't like change, so things that have been there for thousands upon thousands of years calm me.

Also Rydal Water, Between Ambleside and Grasmere.

Some lovely quiet spots to be found.
