Only ever been recognised by people we know at Fan socials. Although we did once get a message a few years ago from a woman saying ‘I think I know you’, but then she blocked us so no idea if she genuinely did. |

Yes. A few years ago it went through a phase for a couple of years of being recognised. Almost every week I'd get a message asking me if I'd been in a certain place. I even got recognised in a cafe in the middle of nowhere by a driver delivering the stock.
Never bothered me. If it did I wouldn't have had a face picture on my profile |

I know 2 people on here very well. Not done anything with them though.
We've known each other pretty much our whole lives and stumbled upon them about 2 weeks ago! Recognised the tattoo from anywhere!
Safe to say, we both know what we have under our clothes just our profiles! |

I was once (many years ago) besieged by a group of school kids around 9 or 10 ish in the sort of foyer of Picadilly Circus
who thought I was some famous footballer (ironic really as I hate football) they were insistent, so much so I had to "autograph" several bits of paper and little books with the whatever his name was! I was totally dumfounded and insisted I was not who they thought. I do hope they were not ragged too much when the truth dawned on them. this was around 1974. |

I got messaged by a couple ages ago and they chatted away a few messages then sent me face pics and it turns out it was a colleague and her husband. Pretty sure they had no idea who I was as I never showed my face, but I quickly tried to get out of the chat. They have checked my profile out quite a few times since, but we have never chatted again |

Yes a few times first time was a couple… I was in the army with the husband…. We laughed and still laugh at reunions…. No I didn’t meet them
A couple out dog walking, I got home and got a message if it was me in the local woods. Nothing came if it but we had a chat. And a lady off the local pages messaged to saying she’d seen me out a few times but hadn’t come over as I was with my mate…

Once, at a party, well they didn't know me but my dad! But thankfully we're all grown up's and can be discreet, yes we still played. I've seen a couple of people out and about but wouldn't ever stop them or even message them on here.

I was gigging somewhere and on my break a truck driver started chatting at the bar and he let slip he was on fab - then his Mrs who was sitting next to him and was a complete knockout said ‘ I like him!!’ Then we chatted some more and I finished my gig and I went home… with them. I told them I was on here too and they said they suspected I must have been because I didn’t react at all when hubby said they were swingers. Another gig I arranged to meet a lady for a social - she brought a friend… rude not to I guess. Never been recognised in the street though… yet !! |

The only time it has ever happened was with my Ex and she was out on a work do. Some guy started talking and said are you ?? off one of the sites we were on. She said no but I did meet up with the guy later and gave him a very stern warning about doing that. Never heard from him again.
There are some idiots in this lifestyle but it shouldn't happen. We always hid faces but sometimes when a meet looks good we swap face pics. Which to me is the sensible thing. Occasionally we all make mistakes and send them to the wrong people. Just a learning curve |

Yeah at a pub in Highbury & Islington. I was on a date and went to buy a round of drinks and the barman recognised me and made an approach. It was all a bit awkward as my date didn’t know about Fab! |

Yep....someone messaged innocent when I was in the pub with a work colleague saying, your mrs is out with another guy!!
And our profile name was called out to us in the middle isle od aldi too

We've bumped into a fair few people from the local club scene out and about over the years. Usually results in a hello and a bit of a chat. No big deal, just the same as bumping into any other freinds or acquaintances. Although sometimes it's an unusual experience seeing people your normally see half/fully naked in the club with their street clothes on out in the everyday world. |

I’ve not been recognised but one guy who used to message me quite regularly I saw one day.
I know he lives close by as he always turns up on ‘see who’s near’ and his profile states he’s straight. But I still used to get these messages and I saw him in the cafe at Asda. I wasn’t going to have a drink, just popped in for a quick shop but decided I wanted to try and talk to him, just ask him to pass me the salt or sugar nothing too dramatic.
As I was getting my drink he started to rise and I thought my chance to have a quick encounter with him had passed. But my luck was in as he’d left a pen on the table, so in my most manly voice I shouted over ‘oi mate your pen’ or something similar, he looked over saw the pen and said ‘cheers mate’
A few weeks or maybe even a month or two later I got another message from him and I told him we’d met. After a few back and forth in which he was sure we’d never met, I told him about the pen and that guy was me. He said he remembered the incident but not the guy who told him or remembered what I looked like.
He still occasionally messages but I’m thinking he’s gone off me a bit now.

Have had a message from someone addressing me by my real name and mentioned something personal, so they clearly know who I am but it doesn't bother me and I have never bothered to pry on who they are or try and chase it up.

when i had face pics up yes ,most was just a short chat ,couple of times ended up having a drink and a chat but nothing more others went further.
No face pics now but if anyone recognises me i don't have a problem with them telling me.
Always up for a coffee and a chat if they wanted but thats as far as it would go these days.
If i recognised someone myself would never approach them first though i don't need discretion but they might |

Yes, my photo was recognised in Morrisons by a guy and he followed me home. Knocked on my door to introduce himself. Immediately removed all photos, closed account and created a new account. |

Me and the wife were recognised in IKEA. To be fair the couple kept looking at us with the look of we know you but not sure, which I think I had the same look, the the penny dropped they waved and that was it.
For me personally I wouldn't give a fuck, the wife however would be very pissed off. |

Not personally but was speaking to a guy who sent me his face pic without being asked, and it was my ex husbands very close cousin, who literally lived 10 mins from me.....yes I did meet him |

I got a message just yesterday from someone who'd seen me waiting for a bus indicating they wished they'd talked to me.
I told them when I saw the message an hour later that that would have been super uncomfortable.
And today I was incredibly uncomfortable waiting for my bus. |

I have a couple of friends who are fairly well known in vanilla life and they both say this happens quite often - people forget that they are actually strangers and just start talking like they are friends.

Yes, many times. Most recently I hired a car and the guy on the desk was looking at "who's near"... I'm guessing he had just seen my profile as it was top of the list when I walked in... he blushed quite a lot.
The time before, I was doing a market in town and a woman I have known for years (who isn't exactly the quietest lady) came up and announced she had seen me on that swinger site... apparently her "brother who is sometimes her sister" (her words, not mine) shows her pictures of people in our town and asks if she knows them... she of course said "yes, that's xxx".
This in the middle of a very busy market, and not at a low volume. It was like she thought we were I a soundproof vault rather than a gazebo with one open side.
The time before that I was walking through a nearby town with my cousins and was catcalled by some scaffolders "Alright Posh".
And the time before that someone recognised me, pretended to be someone I knew well in order to get me to go for coffee with him and when I found out it wasn't who I thought it was, followed me to the car park and didn't tale no for an answer.
I've also had a face/boobs pic shared on a local Facebook group after a man lied to his wife about where he got it from, had a delivery driver turn up at my door at 10.30pm because he figured I'd be up for a fuck as I'm on here, and had a neighbour comment, by hollering down the garden, on a forum post I made.
And that's not the end of it.
So yeah. I've been recognised. At this point I'm pretty much past caring about having my face on here, but I also don't meet local people.

Yes several times , I used to display my face .
The first time was soon after I initially joined many moons ago , at the job centre , by the female half of a couple, she worked there
I work in a public place and have been approached / challenged several times so 8 years ago or so I came to the conclusion that the face just had to go  |

I was at a karaoke night my local village put last weekend with a group of mates there was a couple on the table beside us and I noticed the lady keep looking at me. As the night went on I ended up chatting to them. Thought nothing of it until mrs went out for a cigarette and I went to the toilet I happened to get my phone out of my pocket and see a email from fab to say I had a PM. I was shocked to discover it was her asking me to join her outside |

Yes....I got a dm here from someone asking me was I in such a supermarket an hr ago on a previous profile....it so happens I was (I had way more pics on my previous profile though)

Yes.
We've actually got a fair few IRL friends also on here, it's quite nice, we chat and talk about profiles to avoid, share our thoughts on different social events and clubs etc.
On the other hand, we have had randomness approach us and day they recognise us from fab. We don't mind tbh though this has happened infront our our children which we don't appreciate |

Not sure if I have been recognised or not, but recognised a friend of a friend and blocked him just in case. I have a feeling he knows its me :o
Also I recognised a local couple, as they have a picture of the back the garden which leads out onto some fields and spotted where that was. |

We haven't. Have seen 1 or 2 people we know but they're both males. 1 got blocked as he apparently mentioned us to other friends. The other is respectful and a close friend who knows nothing will happen. Don't mind him having a look though would quite like females or other couples recognising us |

Best to chat to them tactically, you'll always know what they are up to and going, the old saying, keep your friends close and your enemy closer, I do with my ex wife who hasn't got a clue its me she talks too. |
